Fire Caved in Roof of South Jordan Home

Why are there air movers and dehumidifiers on a fire damaged home?

The roof of this home in South Jordan was severely damaged because of a kitchen fire. The fire had spread through the attic leaving a lot of needed restoration. The home was badly damaged by soot and smoke to top it all off.

The reason for the drying equipment in the second picture is because of the firefighters. After we gutted the room we found the attic and ceiling beams very wet from when the firefighters had doused the flames. The attic was on fire and water was sprayed throughout which left other rooms damaged by water.
