Wet Wood Floors Start to Cup
"Cupping" is when the wood starts to swell and lift on the sides creating a "U" shape or cup.
Just because the wood floor is cupping doesn't mean it's ruined. SERVPRO of South Jordan/North Draper has seen many wood floors saved using our equipment and experience.
The second pictures shows a mat system that is extracting water through the grooves. The main reason for cupping is that water has made its way under the wooden slats.
We also provide air movement and dehumidification to quicken the evaporation process on the surface. All of the equipment and constant monitoring saved this beautiful wood floor.
